Speaking of Victorian tearooms (see "Dish"): South Palm Beach County isn't short on charm either. Hidden behind the hulking Mizner Park, the year-old Boca Victoria, 125 East Boca Raton Rd., Boca Raton, 561-391-1310, serves brunch, lunch, and traditional high tea. The tearoom is actually several cozy rooms, and you can sit in any of them -- the library or the garden room, for example -- to munch on cucumber-and-tomato finger-sandwiches served with a Branston pickle or homemade scones garnished with gooseberry jam and clotted cream imported from England. Owner and designer Eileen Connolly, who hails from Coventry, is also the author of about a dozen books on tarot, which explains the prints of tarot cards that hang amid the china collectibles, the faux flower arrangements so artfully done they look real, and the dollhouse Connolly made to resemble an English inn. Though nearly everything in Boca Victoria is for sale, I suggest you spend your cents on the sinful lemon chiffon cake.
