Browardites afraid of the big city shouldn't be scared away from Tobacco Road, Miami's oldest bar and restaurant. There's nothing even remotely close to it in our prefab suburban trenches, making it an excellent place to enjoy some historical time-travel, musically, culturally, and victually. Make the trek on Saturday to experience Buddha Gonzalez and the Headless Chiwawas, an indigenous outfit operating in the psychedelic-soul mold. The band's illustrious drummer, Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey, has thumped with the likes of George Clinton's Parliament/Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins' Rubber Band, Fred Wesley, and Jah Wobble. Chances are excellent that Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Brailey will provide a funky backbone, enabling you to get off on the good foot.
