More About

Don't rock the vote, baby. Eat it. That's what Wilton Manors mayor and Stork's Bakery and Café owner Jim Stork wants you to do. On November 4, he sponsored a dessert reception at Religious Science Fort Lauderdale (1550 NE 26th St., Wilton Manors, 954-566-2868) to earmark the Eat the Votecampaign. This nonprofit, nonpartisan voting-incentive drive takes place through November 10. Show proof of voting in the November 5 election or your voter's registration card at Stork's or any of the other 30-odd participating eateries (see www.eatthevote.com) and you're eligible to receive a free dessert, appetizer, or beverage. Now that's what I call gratuitous politics.
