More About

When one man gets so many people to move, he has to be considered a leader of some kind. Ministry of Sound favorite Paul van Dyk, a German producer, remixer, and DJ, must therefore be one of the biggest leaders in the electronic sound market. Bringing traditional song structure to hard Detroit techno in the early 1990s, van Dyk has since navigated his way through the global underground, setting terrifying armies of feet on the path to high bpm with his upmarket trance. (Germany's massive Love Parade has been one of van Dyk's regular signature events.) 2001's The Politics of Dancing was his last full-length release in the States. But van Dyk, known for a demanding work ethic, has been touring tirelessly for practically the past decade. This week, he is back in South Florida to spin dark, tricked-out European techno straight through the heart of the dance world.
