So many ideas spring forth from Deep Dish that it's hard to categorize the Iranian-born, Maryland-based duo. DJ/producers Ali Shirazinia and Sharam Tayebi raid every shelf in the trance-progressive-house pantry, usually brewing up excellent results. Tedious double-length sets like the Yoshiesque series seem to exist for the benefit of the tolerate-anything dance crowd, yet the new, pared-down Global Underground: Torontocontinues Deep Dish's experimental quest. But can the awesome twosome emerge untainted following a production collaboration with P. Diddy on his next endeavor -- a house track called "Let's Get Ill"? Could be scary. Tune in when Deep Dish hits Diddyville this weekend, playing Space 34, 34 NE 11th St., Miami, at 11 p.m., Saturday, May 24. Call 305-372-9378.
