After watching Weird Science, one has to wonder: What makes the perfect woman? Is it just a nice rack and Albert Einstein's brain? Well, then, what makes the perfect band? Is it an equal combination of chiseled looks, good chops, and a seedy addiction to some over-the-counter sleeping pill? No, it's more than that. It's an intangible mix that seduces you, lays you down, and makes sweet love. Billy Boloby's debut CD, The Revival, however, kicks that jive-turkey deadbeat out of your bed and steals his wallet. The West Palm Beach quintet's contagious rash of jerky pop riffs and rock 'n' roll bombast spreads over the entire body of this six-song EP. From the hand-clapping fervor of "Get Undone" to the vibrating shimmer of "Better Wait," Revival hyperventilates with sonic excitement and threatens to pass out. Luckily, there is a doctor on hand.
