Offering plangent, precious folk and candid outbursts of fragility, Chan Marshall, a.k.a. "Cat Power," is a musician of infinite nakedness. Ten months ago, she unveiled her most recent release, You Are Free. The stripped-down album includes vocals by Eddie Vedder, drumming by Dave Grohl, and is considered by many to be the best effort so far from a woman known for her emotion-filled and often frayed performances -- including a November 2001 show in Miami during which she suffered an onstage meltdown. This week, Cat Power returns with a full band to Miami, where she'll perform Saturday, December 20, at 10 p.m. at I/O, 30 NE 14th St., Miami. Patrons are age 18 and up. Admission is $10.
