Leo and Mona Kamil must be interesting people. What other adjective could you possibly use to describe a couple who, since opening their Euro Pizza (232 S. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, 561-347-6420) six years ago, have offered more than 100 over-the-top toppings to their "gourmet European-style" pies? I mean what kind of folks would serve 19 varieties of filet mignon garnishes alone, like the Monte Carlo, which includes strips of that steak, ham, and sauce Bernaise? Who names a pizza after Dresden (with chicken, peanuts, pineapple, and curry) or sells a "Royale Supreme" pie with lobster, shrimp, crabmeat, asparagus, cr´me fraiche, lobster sauce, and 3/4 ounce of black caviar? A better question: Who will shell out the $199.99 for that Royale? Fact is, Euro Pizza is a very intriguing place, and the pies, especially the simpler ones, are blessed with thin, blistery crusts. Pizza prices at lunchtime start at $5.95; dinner pies generally range from $12 to $16. There's a great selection of bottled beers and a trio of fine drafts: Spaten and Tucher from Germany and Straropramen from the Czech Republic. Straropramen? Leo and Mona must be interesting people.
