Quick -- name some things that Bob Dylanand Willie Nelson have in common. Forget the fact that these old masters both tour incessantly; cynics would suggest they're each kinda craggy and croon as if suffering from terminal post-nasal drip. Whatever... the common bonds make their current double bill appear an ideal matchup, and the notion that these are two genuine American icons suggests that, sarcasm aside, it's an event not to be missed. Sure, it's easy to snicker about Willie's battered guitar, his ass-length ponytail, and his penchant for pot. And yeah, Dylan's got a dour disposition, he screws around with his songs, and every syllable he warbles is practically unintelligible. When you've penned as many classics and enjoyed careers as long and productive as either of these two guys, you're entitled to a few quirks. Besides, it's nice to know that even with a combined age of more than 130, the only rockers they're ready for are the ones they'll sing.
