Memorial Day's a time of remembrance, but for many of us daily grinders, it also means a welcome long weekend perfect for hitting the beach or hitting the clubs. If you're into the latter (hell, if you're into both), Destination Pangaea -- four nights of DJ-fueled mania at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Pangaea/Gryphon -- will sew up your plans.

The megaclub hosts Space resident Ivano Bellini on Friday and White Party DJs Mikkel Dankner and Aaron Feld on Saturday. But house troupe Aquabooty, featuring URB and Mixer fave Marques Wyatt on Sunday, will steal the show. Wyatt, an L.A. native, has been a fixture of the West Coast disco-house scene since the late '80s, first with his MAC's Garage night, then on to the Deep parties at the famed Vinyl, which spurred the neo-soul-jazz Brass Sundays, featuring genre masterminds Brand New Heavies and Digable Planets. While maintaining promoter/DJ roles, Wyatt also found time to produce and mix for Nervous and Strictly Rhythm before settling with San Fran imprint OM Records. The four-to-the-floor prompt of his recent work For Those Who Like to Get Down gives you a clear picture of Wyatt's objectives. Aiding the nonstop beatfest is a host of fashion shows, pool parties, and even a sunrise breakfast on the outer terrace, which will cap the festivities Monday morning. With its around-the-clock liquor license, Pangaea/Gryphon offers the ideal setting for high-end hedonism. And you'll enjoy it....as long as you have the stamina to back it up.
