Just when you thought fondue, meat loaf, and on-tap appletinis were the most superdelectable fun the funky folks at Dada could provide, they add Palm Beach's answer to David Bowie, the Ubiquitous Timb. Bringing a full sheath of bondage, love, interstate, and genre-bending tunes (as well as a full band of Erics), the Ubiquitous One hosts Dada's Five Year Anniversary.A historic Delray home turned college hangout/delectable goody depot/late-night, free music haven, Dada has long been a breeding ground for local musicians looking for an alternative to the kiddie punk and ultraviolence of WPB and rightfully deserves to be celebrated. Anniversary acts include alt-country smooth-talk rockers Truckstop Coffee and the Elliott Smith-meets-Coldplay, soul-changing love ballads of Brite Side. Bring one of the 5,000 invitations floating around downtown Delray Beach to score some free adult beverages. Saturday also happens to be the 29th anniversary of Timb, which invites speculation into what oddities, eccentrics, and f-list celebrities might crawl out of the closet.
