Rock Like an Egyptian

It almost makes you wish it had always been this way: live music with 95-percent-nude babes dancing around! Thank you, Jesus, for Gumwrappers! Now, lack of a vestal virgin will not detract from the alternative-metal/dark-rock onslaught that Osiris Rising promises -- and you can count on it, since the band is riding high on the recent release of its disc Diluting the Gene Pool. Ouija boards, multicolored Santería candles, and assorted animal bones play into the lore created by these four ugly dudes, but I must reiterate the aforementioned info: There will be babes dancing around to their "gothic-punk" sound (whatever the hell that means). A couple more metal acts are expected to book, and I do know what that means: It's going to be a loud evening. Keep the ears ringing at home with Osiris' debut; it's less than ten bucks for your cheap ass.
