Mean Guys Finish First
Nick DiPaolo might not be the most popular guy at church -- but he seems to be the first guy that Comedy Central calls when they need help roasting celebrities. DiPaolo has ridden his snotty attitude from Howard Stern’s airwaves through roasts for Pamela Anderson, Jeff Foxworthy, and Denis Leary, and across the late-night couch circuit (Letterman, Conan, Jon Stewart, Colin Quinn). “There are too many comics today who have no comic impulse,” DiPaolo has said. “I'm sick of going on after guys who tell 20 jokes about a toaster. That's what's ruined [comedy], man. If I see one more guy with a bright yellow sweater telling jokes about getting toothpaste out of the fucking tube, I'm going to kill somebody." You’ll find no yellow sweaters in DiPaolo’s act, and certainly no political correctness. The comic has said that the only role women should have in the military is “to bake the cake. It's a hell of an army we're putting together - women and gay guys. The Iraqis must be shittin' in their pants.” These days, the Anti-Mr. Nice-Guy is working on a career in film. He once had a role in a episode of the Sopranos, and he’ll star in a upcoming movie called Beer League with Artie Lange and former karate kid Ralph Macchio.
