OK, Mongo's definitely not crazy. And he's got his faults. He can be mean and petty, just as he can be funny and inspiring. But he most definitely is one of those rare things on this Earth — a man who lives life on his own terms. And he lives it with some imagination and a lot of guts.

And kindness. One of Mongo's greatest passions is helping the homeless, or street people, as he prefers to call them. Nobody in Memphis ever wrote about that. Concha told me about it, saying it was a secret that couldn't be revealed. But after I spent a couple of hours with Mongo, he showed me the cooler in the back of his truck, full of ice and leftover food from a morning delivery. "I try to help unfortunate families who can't pay their bills," he says. "There is no mercy on Earth to help those people."

Prince Mongo, is/was Robert (Bobby) Hodges. Grew up in Norfolk, Va. went to Larchmnot Grammar School, Blair Jr. High School, and Maury High School. He is a really nice guy. He is an individual in every sense of the word. I am not privy to his life after high school.

He showed you a cooler in the back of his truck or car or whatever and you believed that food went or was going to the homeless??? =/ Did you actually see him giving food to the homeless? Because he also thinks he's 333 years old and is from a far away planet. And if is from a far away planet, where he is know King, supposedly, why would he be here? Shouldn't he be governing his subjects, which I here are incredibly unruly. And did anyone notice that he might possibly have a brother, who is just as crazy as he is, without the desire as much for spotlight. And these two boys are crazy, shouldn't more be known about their parents, who liked to own what they walked on, and our already back living in Zambodia; does that make them dead or alive? Does that mean they were rich? And what did they own exactly? I've looked everywhere and nobody can find a childhood on this guy! Isn't that a little odd.
