Back in the days of fauvist painter Henri Matisse -- the early 20th Century the problem of attention deficit disorder hadnt yet reared its head. It wasnt like Matisse to suffer burnout and lose interest in a subject. He was actually remarkable for his perseverance, and the results are here to see in the Matisse in Transition: Around Laurette. The exhibit features roughly 20 paintings from 1916 to 1919, all focused on a single subject (that would be Laurette, of course).
