Little Steven's Underground Garage Tour

So it looks like the Buzzcocks are spending some extra time in South Florida. After playing last Saturday's Warped Tour concert in Miami, the Brit punk pioneers are ready for round two this Sunday, when they hook up with Little Steven's Underground Garage Tour. It may seem an odd gig for a band with pop-oriented, slightly new-wave leanings. But really, though... what the hell do you care? The show's lineup is tops, no matter what flavor of rock you prefer. Check it: the Shadows of Knight (famous for their version of Van Morrison's "Gloria"), the Gore Gore Girls (Motown meets the MC5), the Chesterfield Kings (garage-revival before it was trendy), and Fortune & Maltese and the Phabulous Pallbearers (more '60s-sounding goodness, à la the Seeds). And, of course, Little Steven Van Zandt himself (and lotsa girls in bikinis). Break out the sunblock, 'cause it's time to rock.

Little Steven's Underground Garage Tour comes to town Sunday, July 2, to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. The poolside concert starts at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $20. Call 954-523-3309, or visit www.ticketmaster.com.
