Ain't Nothin' But a Wu Thang

Wu-Tang Clan

Is 2006 the Year of the Wu? If we take inventory of what the remaining Wu-Tang Clan members have been up to, all signs point to yes. In the beginning (of 2006, that is), there was Ghostface Killah's Fishscale. Then came Inspectah Deck's Resident Patient, followed shortly by Masta Killa's Made in Brooklyn. Method Man's 4:21... The Day After, drops this Tuesday, and Raekwon and GZA have releases planned for the fall. (U-God and RZA's 2006 contributions have been largely collaborative, the latter donning his producer's cap.) So yes, the Killa Beez are busy (bizzy?) beez. And while the eight MCs are on tour to promote their individual efforts, they're not too busy to pay tribute to the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. No one's too busy for ODB.

Wu-Tang Clan performs Friday, August 25, at Revolution, 200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. Opening is Butta Verses. Tickets cost $34. Doors open at 7 p.m. Call 954-727-0950, or visit www.jointherevolution.net.
