Gnarls in Charge

Bang! Music Festival features Gnarls Barkley

So the Bang! Music Festival features Gnarls Barkley on the bill. That raises the obvious question: What'll their get-up be? The character-assuming psych-funk duo of Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse can't show up as, you know, Cee-Lo and Danger Mouse; they'll have some manner of alter ego in place, whether it's Cheech and Chong, Freddy and Jason, Napoleon and Pedro... etc. Not that Gnarls' costumes will matter to the thousands of fans who'll be singing along to the chorus of "Crazy." Remember, this is the first group to top the charts with a digital download (again, "Crazy") and, more amazingly, remake the Violent Femmes' "Gone Daddy Gone" without being redundant or butchering it. Yet, for some reason, Gnarls Barkley is playing one of the many third fiddles Saturday to headliners Duran Duran and Daft Punk. See the Night & Day section for a list of performers. And start saving some dough — this one's going to cost you.

Bang! Music Festival takes place Saturday, November 11, at Bicentennial Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd., Miami. Doors open at 11 a.m. Tickets start at $75. Visit www.bangmusicfestival.com.
