More About

To prevent heat stroke, medical experts recommend that you get indoors and drink plenty of fluids. Non-medical experts (that’s us, by the way) don’t recommend drinking anything that doesn’t require a bottle opener or a Boston shaker. Which is why – solely in the interest of medical safety, mind you – our professional opinion is that you find yourself a cantina full of tasty liquor to start not having heat stroke in. (It’s also why we have litigation pending.) How about Rosa Mexicano (11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Ave., Palm Beach Gardens)? Every weekday this month from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Rosa will be hosting Noches Calientes, which is a fancy way of saying happy hour. What’s even fancier? How about half-price pitchers of fresh sangria and sinful pomegranate margaritas, $3 drafts, and free Mexican street food (flautas, empanadas, gauc’)? Plus if you’re feeling expressive, Rosa will also be serving its La Pintura Margarita all month: a blank-canvas-like ΄rita in honor of Frida Kahlo’s one-hundredth birthday. Call 561-625-3120.
