Girlfriend in a Coma

That hip, boutique coffee shop, Undergrounds Coffeehaus (2743 E. Oakland Park Blvd., Fort Lauderdale), is back in the art game this Saturday with their latest gallery show, "Coma Girl: The Artwork of Lisa Parrot." Parrot’s art, images of cute but slightly devious little ladies lounging around slightly off-kilter flora and fauna, is part Suicide Girls and part Hello Kitty. Meaning these wide-eyed vixens look harmless enough, but between their full-sleeve tats and sly winks you get the feeling they’re housing some serious feminine power. At her last show at UG, Parrot sold nearly all of her works on display. This time around you’re going to want to get there early to snatch ΄em up. So show up at 9 p.m., grab yourself a raffle ticket (to win one of Parrot’s originals) and a cup of joe (perhaps UG’s specialty: a peanut butter cup latte), and enjoy the art. Call 954-630-1900.
