Double D-List

Kathy Griffin won a special place in our hearts when she got fired from hosting E!’s red carpet coverage for making up a rumor about Dakota Fanning’s entry into rehab. That, and co-host Ryan Seacrest hated her. But he can hate all he wants, there are plenty of (dare we say “other”?) gay men who worship the ground she stomps on, relishing every celebrity-skewering crack she makes as the word of divinity. But never mind just the gays, she’s going downright mainstream now — she’s a hit!

The sassy, brassy star of numerous HBO specials and the Emmy-nominated My Life on the D-List, is treating South Florida to two — count ´em, TWO — stops on her current North American tour. First she performs tonight, at the Kravis Center (701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach), followed by a repeat performance tomorrow (Aug 16) at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock (1 Seminole Way, Fort Lauderdale). Expect many offensive comments, much profanity, and plentiful celebrity dishing. Both shows start at 8 p.m., although they’re essentially sold out; there are a few “obstructed view” seats for the 16th, available at the box office only, but that can’t be good. We suggest you find a good ticket broker.
