Your pup has been cooped up all summer. He’s panting to go outside and sniff every tree in the neighborhood, but he’s just too fury to handle the punishing sunlight for long. Plus, he’s been itching for a chance to wear that fancy tux hanging in his teeny tiny closet since New Years.’ He’s going stir-crazy.

Pack up your pooch and his or her fanciest frocks, because this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. is Haute Hound’s Anniversary Pooch Party, and the theme is Old Hollywood. Classy Dane dames will parade around in flattering slip dresses while hounds-on-the-prowl are escorted in their most dapper suits (most likely, with tails). Refreshments are plentiful (for canines and humans alike), and there is never a shortage of games and activities (yes, there will be a fashion show) at a Haute Hound bash. There’s also no shortage of animal insight; a local pet communicator will be on hand to help analyze Fido’s recent funk (I blame that prissy collie down the block.) If you don’t have a dog to show off, you could adopt one at the party, representatives (human and furry) from Greyhound Adoptions and PetMobile will be on site at Haute Hound (Fisherman’s Warf, 287 E. Indiantown Rd. Suite B-6, Jupiter) with information and incredibly cute companions.
