You Got Game

It used to be that going to the arcade and plopping a fresh fin’s worth of quarters into the Street Fighter II cabinet was a weekly ritual. Now, thanks to high-powered consoles that bring the arcade experience home, you can play your throwback copies of SFII over Xbox Live while simultaneously munching on grub and getting blasted on beer. But somewhere along the line, people figured out that getting drunk in front of the TV, controller in hand, doesn’t make a particularly great date. Girls, it would seem, don’t really dig that (go figure). So what do you do when you want to take your date out somewhere nice, get a couple beers, and sate your Killer Instinct? You put away your Wii-mote and head over to Late Night Happy Hour at Dave and Buster’s (3000 Oakwood Blvd., Hollywood). From 10 p.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays, DnB’s offers half-price cocktails and hefty beer and wine discounts from the bar, so you and your “Player 2” can get your game on in style.
