Put on your dancing shoes, boys and girls! Care Resource, South Florida's largest HIV/AIDS organization, is hosting the first (and theoretically not last, if all goes well) G.I.R.L. AID fundraiser: a 32-hour long dance party at Uncle's (1000 State Road 84, Fort Lauderdale). Starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, G.I.R.L. AID will boast 32 hours of 11 different DJ's blasting music all through the night -- and the next day and night -- ending at 3 a.m. on Sunday. If you’re not lucky enough to camp out and watch the festivities, the entire thing will be simulcast on Gay Internet Radio Live.

Splurge on the $50 VIP Admission and you can breeze past the unwashed masses waiting in line for entry/re-entry – convenient, if you retain any sense of personal hygiene and want to take time out to hose the sweat off yourself occasionally. General admission? $20 at the door. (If you were organized enough to buy tickets in advance at http://www.careresource.org/girl.html, they were only $15!) Call 305-576-1234 for info.
