Wilton Manors is extending a paw to its newest neighbor, Tiny Treasures Puppies (2043 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors). The shop is more akin to a loving nursery than traditional pet stores, because at TTP dogs spend their pre-adoption days snuggled in custom-built cribs – just waiting for you to scoop ´em up and take ´em home (C’mon! You know you want one!). Another nice thing about TTP is that you can get up to a five-year warranty and free pet training with purchase of any little bundle of squiggly love and fur – and since a five-year warranty is more than you got on your car, you know he’ll be with you for the long haul.

To celebrate the store’s grand opening (on October 1), the boys at Tiny Treasures have organized the first annual Tiny Treasures Dog Extravaganza, a party ripe for business card exchange or ass-sniffing (based on your and your pooches’ preference). There will be a holistic veterinarian, animal behaviorists, holistic food vendors, Broward County Humane Society, and the American Canine Association on hand to make things interesting, and fun contests with categories like owner/pet look alike and best-dressed dog so everyone leaves feeling rewarded. They say every dog has his day, and baby, that day is Saturday at Hagan Park (2020 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors). This party is free.
