When the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival rolls around, heads in this sleepy burg actually get a taste of what it’s like to hobnob with actual stars. Well tonight, Lauderdalians won’t just settle for hobnobbing – they’ll be sharing the dance floor with celebs at the Dancing With the Stars Opening Night Gala. The black-tie, ballroom affair will host stars from Woody Harrelson’s film, the Grand, premiering at FLIFF that very evening. Cut a rug with Dennis Farina, Richard Kind, and Granddirector Bobby Schwartz at 9 p.m. Friday night at the Signature Grand (6900 State Rd., Davie), and catch the film throughout the day at the Miniaci Performing Arts Center (3100 Ray Ferraro Jr. Blvd., Davie). Tickets for the Gala start at $50, or $10 for just the film. Call 954-525-FILM, or visit www.fliff.com.
