There are a great many things that you shouldnt trust to amateurs, and one of them is this: dancing and singing doo-woppy show tunes while tending to a 2,000-pound carnivorous plant from outer space. But the folks at the Arts Academy of Hollywood love their leafy danger they live for it. Which is why bold boys, girls, men, and women of all ages (seriously the youngest is three, and the eldest is old enough not to tell us her age) are coming together on Saturday to perform Little Shop... a redux of Little Shop of Horrors brought to us by Arts Academys Musical Theater Division (ages 5 10), Performing Arts Enrichment Group (for pre-schoolers), Tap Dance Troupe (ages 8 12), Hip-Hop Dance Troupe (13 17), and Adults Repertoire Company (18 undisclosed). The brutal botany goes down in the Arts Park, in the middle of Young Circle in Hollywood. They say the shows at 7ish the exact time is TBA.
