Maybe it was the overabundance of Amy Winehouse costumes this Halloween or the bouncy heads of hair bobbing down the runway during the fall fashion roll-out, but one thing is clear: big hair is back with a big ol’ heaping spritz of Aquanet superhold. And what better way to celebrate this development in good taste than with Beehive the ยด60’s Musical, right? The off-Broadway hit arrives at the Kravis Center’s Rinker Playhouse (701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach) with 45 beehive wigs and 40 songs, including “Where the Boys Are,” “You Don’t Own Me,” and other hits by the best high-haired songstresses of the 1960’s. There are even numbers by Janis Joplin and Tina Turner – we suspect their hair’s width alone qualified them. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets cost $35 dollars.
