You Couldn’t Handle Santa on Heavy Acid

You were mesmerized by Laser Floyd (there was something comforting and hypnotic about the dancing tennis shoes). You smuggled contraband (ding dongs, ho hos, and other ingredient-heavy no-no’s) into Laser Zeppelin. But can you handle the trippiest spectacle this side of the North Pole? Recline and find out when Santa and the gang hit the South Florida Science Museum’s planetarium (4801 Dreher Trail North, West Palm Beach) in The Holiday Laser Light Show.

The soundtrack fluctuates more drastically than your pupils’ dilation levels; the program weaves and shimmies through holiday hits by Perry Como, Nat King Cole, and Enya. But you’ll hardly notice! You’ll be too busy fixating on those gnarly 3D sleighs, presents, and other seasonal items that you’d never thought would be cool, but now somehow, are. Thanks Lasers! Showtime is 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through December 30th. Tickets cost $8 and include 3D glasses. Call 561-832-1988, or visit www.sfsm.org.
