And You Can Surf on Them Too!

You find solace in the ocean. Allowing yourself to examine the waves – from distant ripples, to suction-like C’s, to eventual breakdowns, racing forward to tickle the sand – gives you peace. There’s comfort in change, in knowing that each of those waves, however temporary, will affect the lives of thousands of sea creatures and land walkers.

The connections made as the wave’s shape changes comprise the thesis of “Breaking the Waves” at the Dorsch Gallery. This was Dorsch’s Basel masterpiece, featuring works by more than 20 artists. If you missed it during Basel, you still have time to check out the goods before it breaks apart and makes room for the next – just like those waves you’re so fond of. Hustle down to the Wynwood District and swing by Dorsch (151 NW 24th St., Miami) and visit “Breaking the Waves” during its final weekend hoorah. Visit www.dorschgallery.com.
