Asheville, North Carolina’s Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band’s name may summon thoughts of Wilmer Valderrama’s “Oh, Snap!” face (from MTV’s Yo Momma), but the band’s handle means more than mother-slaggin’ insults.

Instead, YMBFBB’s moniker is a celebratory call to those with healthy-sized backsides (and the boney ones too, why not?) to hit the dance floor. The P-funk of posteriors, YMBFBB, stuffs ten pounds of horns, costumes and funk into a five-pound bag, making them a fan favorite. The band hits the Backroom Blues Bar (7200 North Dixie Hwy., Boca Raton) on Friday at 8 p.m. And in lieu of standard applause, drop down and Make-it-Clap to show some love. Call 561-988-8929.
