There’s a special place in your heart where only David Lee Roth lives. It’s a tiny room, situated peacefully between your left and right ventricles. Three walls of this magical haven are lined with mirrors, globe lights, and show posters from 1984. There’s a heart-shaped bed in the far corner piled high with squishy, pink, faux-fur pillows; next to them is a floor-to-ceiling set up of speaker stacks (should he feel the need to give you an impromptu serenade). In these sacred halls “Hot for Teacher” is always playing.

For you, the dreaded Hagar years of ´85 to ´96 simply didn’t happen, nor do you acknowledge the following – shudder – Cherone era. That’s because you are a true fan. You’ve been holding out for Tuesday and Wednesday’s shows for more than two decades, banana clips still intact, because those are when the great David Lee Roth reunites with Van Halen and performs just for you. (Well, technically it’s “just for you” and however many other screaming, pulsating, throbbing fans can pack into BankAtlantic Center, One Panther Pkwy., Sunrise). Tickets run $46.75 to $146.75, a small price to pay to hang with the love of your life. Get ´em at www.ticketmaster.com.
