They Might Be Giants, but theyve also been a lot of other things over the course of their 25-year musical career: Avant-garde heroes, anti-hipsters, movie stars, and now, childrens music icons. Yep, TMBG, who for years have entertained growth-addled adults with songs like Birdhouse in Your Soul, Your Racist Friend, and Particle Man (OK, that one was for kids too), have decided to cut us off at the pass and start converting fans into acolytes as children. They have three albums so far in this vein: One to teach counting, one for lettering, and another thats just silly and fun. In fact, Here Come the ABCs and Here Come the 123s are both outselling Hannah Montanas latest CD on Amazon.com. Verily, it was TMBGs plan all along to topple the Miley Cyrus Empire, just because

But as successful as TMBGs childrens material is, Wiggles they aint. Put Zeros off of Here Come the 123s in rotation with some of TMBGs other hits, and you might not even notice it was meant for kids. You definitely wont want to bash in the stereo with a snap kick. Does that mean the Giants will sneak, say, The Secret Life of Six into their set list of adult-oriented rock when they perform tonight at Revolution (200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale)? Doubt it. Unless Miley Cyrus makes an appearance; then theyll do it just to totally show her ass up. Tickets cost $22. Call 954-727-0950, or visit www.jointherevolution.net.
