Everyone’s got a little green man inside him, just waiting to guzzle beer, flip bar stools, and generally cause a ruckus on Saint Patrick’s Day. And that’s cool! This is the one holiday where a bit o’ ruckus is not only allowed; it’s damn near expected. There’s a ton to do tonight on your way to peeing green tomorrow morning, starting with the annual bash at Maguire’s Hill 16 (535 N Andrews Ave., Fort Lauderdale). The happy folks at the Hill will be hoisting a huge party tent in lot, a magical realm where the beer is green, the Irish music blares all day, and the corned beef and cabbage flows like, er…well it doesn’t actually flow, it just kind of waits for you to eat it. $10 gets you in and keeps you fed all day long. If your inner leprechaun is more into pampering than partying, then you may want to check out the St. Paddy’s Day specials at the Ocean Sands Spa (1350 N. Ocean Blvd., Pompano Beach). A “Sea of Emeralds” seaweed wrap promises to release stress and toxins by covering your body in the taut, green stuff, while the “Kiss Me I’m Irish” lip treatment should plump up your puckers for any late night shenanigans you’re planning to get into. And if you’re the type of party-goer who prefers to strip out of formal wear, then the celebration at the Arsht Center (1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami) may be just your speed. $20 gets you in the door for complimentary green beer, gourmet Irish grub, and tunes from local folk-rock songster Jess Jackson.
