Coming up with your band name might be one of the most important decisions in your musical career – which is why it’s so amazing that Andrew Hung and Benjamin John Power came up with Fuck Buttons. Forget the obvious Wal-Mart boycott, what about the group’s family members? Can you imagine the dinner conversations these poor folks must have?

–“So, Flo, what does your little Ben do for a living?” “Oh Marge, you don’t know? He’s in Fuck Buttons.”

The name may not please their close relatives, but this U.K. duo has sure swayed the critics. Touring with Caribou on the acclaimed album Street Horrrsing, Fuck Buttons bring a wall of electronic tribal noise that doesn’t stop and is sure to excite the experimental side of any indie music fan. You may not be able to find their latest record in your local superstore, but chances are you don’t shop there anyway. Come see these fuckers and help make their families proud when they play the Culture Room (3045 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale) this Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15.
