On Your Marks, Get Set, Harmonize!

For those unfamiliar with the Starting Line, you might want some basic background material to help you get acquainted before attending Monday’s show at Revolution. First, if you fill your closet with surfery, skatery-inspired apparel from Pac-Sun, you’ll probably like it. Second, if you like oddly perky and upbeat songs about sad subjects like heartache, label discord, and general suburban angst, you’ll feel inspired to sing along. Last, if your IPod is loaded up with MxPx, Reel Big Fish, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Cartel, and every other headlining act that you’ve ever seen at Warped Tour (because you never, ever miss Warped, bro), then you will most certainly have a new favorite band in the Starting Line.

Of course, the only way to truly decide whether or not this group makes you want to dance is to catch them tonight when they headline for Bayside and Four Year Strong. Doors open at 6 p.m. (200 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, www.jointherevolution.net); tickets cost $16 for this all ages show. Get them at www.ticketmaster.com.
Mon., April 14, 6 p.m., 2008
