Youre in a rut. Youre still drinking the same merlot with the same stale group at the same wine bar, just as youve done for years. But thats wearing thin. You need to shake things up! You need Art of Wine Nights at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art (One E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale). Thats where youll meet new, interesting people, drink wines with names you cant pronounce, and, hell, check out some art -- all at the same time!
For $15 in advance ($20 at the door), you can join an eclectic mix of wine enthusiasts while exploring various regions of the museum. At the last wine tasting (they occur every other Friday, see the full schedule at www.artandwineshop.com), the organizers showed the film Baraka and made hot popcorn drizzled with truffle oil to boot. Smiling faces abounded. Different wine selections are featured at each event, but the great company, exciting exhibits, and delicious snacks remain constant. So ditch your old routine for a swanky new affair and rekindle that passion for great wine and conversation. Its all put on by the Museums fabulous store/wine bar/café, and they suggest that you RSVP. Do so by calling 954-670-2824, or emailing artandwine@mac.com.
