You know you’re a talented actor, a hell of a scriptwriter, and a mean director; so how do you land that first gig, first agent, first financed film? How about the 24-Hour Film School – a traveling show of Hollywood and industry vets who know that the stuff you can’t read in a book is all-important to getting into the biz. The daylong seminar, held today at 9:30 a.m. at the Westin Hotel (400 Corporate Dr., Ft. Lauderdale), collects talents of all types to teach up the attendees: Got a yen for acting? Ed Arenas, casting director for such films as Any Given Sunday and Bad Boys will coach you on landing that first role. Got a great idea but can’t get anyone to show you the money? Kevin Mann, producer of the upcoming flick Fanboys, can show you a trick or two.
