Black Finger
Published on May 08, 2008
When it comes to blending straight-ahead rock with Americana and bluegrass twang, there's no other group locally that does it better than Black Finger. These guys have the feel of a band that could have starred in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, but instead of ripping off the Soggy Bottom Boys, Black Finger manages to find a sound of its own. This weekend, it's having a CD-release party to celebrate the arrival of their new opus, Black Finger Forever, which, judging from the songs posted on the band's MySpace page, sounds like a lot of fun. The band will debut a new video, and fans will definitely get their money's worth. Not only can you show up to a great venue and support a local band that's way above average when it comes to talent and musicianship but you're also getting access before anybody else to what could be the best local release of the year.
