If you’re like us, your idea of eating right is noshing ketchup with your fries (hey, tomatoes are a vegetable!), and exercise means getting a couple extra rounds of pool in at the bar. Don’t feel guilty. You just need a little push to show you that taking care of yourself can be fun too. Consider the Lifestyle Center at Whole Foods Market (2000 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale) your friendly nudge. The center, located adjacent to the store, offers classes in everything from Kripalu yoga to cooking macrobiotic food that feels as good on the liver as it does on the tongue. Tonight at 7 p.m., you can join resident chef Lynn Battels for Saturday Night Date Night: Beach Dinner, a five-course how-to and wine tasting class for couples.The choices are well rounded, yes, but that doesn’t mean they’re not sensual: Watermelon agua fresca, crab salad, bacon-wrapped stuffed sea scallops, shrimp with vanilla sauce, and berry and goat cheese salad. The class is kept intimate so that everyone can learn something (12 couples only), and it costs $45 for both of you.
