There must be something genetically different about ABBA fans. Those who love the Sweden’s number two export (behind Ikea, of course) are simply rabid in their support. They’re the kind of folk who dress up in white linens when Mamma Mia! comes to town, who give their kids Swedish names like Sigvard and Rune, and who’re constantly pushing you to “just give Arrival one more chance, please!” Tonight, these people will come together under the banner of saccharine disco to pay tribute to the band they love to love, and leading the chorus will be ABBA’s official cover group, Björn Again. Aside from having a really cool name (because umlauts are the definition of cool), Björn Again is the closest thing you can get to ABBA without actually flying to Sweden and creepily stalking the original members. (Who suggested that? Not us!) At the very least, it will hold you over until the film adaptation of Mamma Mia! hits theaters next week. Björn Again rocks the Parker Playhouse (707 NE 8th St., Fort Lauderdale) at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $35. Call 954-462-0222, or visit www.parkerplayhouse.com.
