Entertainer is in His Name!

Most comedians aren’t known for their humility; after all, comedy is a cutthroat business reserved purely for those with thick skin and a penchant for torture. So when Cedric Kyles decided to change his surname to The Entertainer, the earth shook under the weight of his gravitas. That kind of ego is normally reserved for ballplayers and teenagers on Myspace. What’s even more amazing is his uncanny ability to consistently live up to the name. Starring in a string of blockbuster films and top rated television shows while consistently writing new material for his stand up is the kind of dedication that’s made Cedric the Entertainer a bona fide superstar. He’s guaranteed to thrill audiences when he comes to Improv Paradise Live (5700 Seminole Way, Fort Lauderdale) on Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost $47.70 with two shows nightly; each carries a two-drink minimum. Call 954-981-5653, or visit www.improvftl.com.
