Body Beautiful?

Sick of being busted for checking out other peoples’ parts? If so, “Out of Shape: Bodies in Contemporary Art”is tailor-made for you. Spend hours ogling human figures depicted in various mediums by artists such as William Kentridge, Viola Frey, Duane Hanson, Yinka Shonibare, and Robert Rauschenberg —- even with your mate by your side.

Some of these objets d’art are interpretations missing appendages and such, maybe even a head here and there. But others are extremely life-like, so you may have to show some restraint: Don’t be that dumbass found asking a fiberglass fella or ceramic chick for their digits. “Out of Shape” displays at the Norton Museum of Art (1451 S. Olive Ave., West Palm Beach) through November 2. General admission costs $8. Call 561-832-5196 for more information, or visit www.norton.org.
