Floundering Blues

It’s been an up and down season for the Miami FC Blues. Our home team is currently floating between 7th and 9th place in the United Soccer League standings and, with just seven matches left to play, time is running out for Miami to land a playoff spot. With ten goals to his credit, striker Alex Afonso continues to lead the league in goals scored, but the rest of the team still lags in helping out offensively. The Blues hope the acquisition of forward Connally Edozian in a trade with Carolina gives them the boost their floundering offense desperately needs.

The good news is that Miami plays five of its last seven games right here in Miamuh. The Blues have been stellar on the home front, allowing only eight goals against, while scoring ten of their 19 goals at the friendly confines. The road to a playoff berth starts at home against the tough Charleston Battery at Tropical Park Stadium. Kickoff is at 6:00 p.m. Get your tickets at www.miamifc.com, or by calling 305-728-2612.
