All Artsy, No Fartsy.

Pita, tzatziki, spiced tube-meat. These are things that come to mind when you hear the word Yuroz. You’re way off.

Yuroz is an acclaimed artist whose focus is humanity: paintings, drawings, and sculpture all dedicated to the relationships between people and the world around them. So if you want to find out what the inside of a poem looks like, check out “Yuroz: Retrospective 1986 — 2008” at the Coral Springs Museum of Art (2855 Coral Springs Dr., Coral Springs), running from now until November 15th. If you’re not satisfied with merely viewing the artwork, Yuroz himself will be on hand tonight, Saturday September 5th, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to sign books and posters and perhaps to answer a few existential questions on Greek fast-food. Admission, which includes wine and hors d’oeuvres, is free for members, $10 for non-members. Call 954-340-5000, or visit www.csmart.org.
