Nothing stands between a pagan and her party. Which is why the MoonPath chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans at the UU Church of Fort Lauderdale (3970 NW 21st Ave., Fort Lauderdale) is celebrating the solstice the same way Wiccans celebrate everything else: drumming, dancing, drinking and food (plus, holding hands in a circle and intoning some mystical poetic verbiage, though this is almost always a formality).
The party runs from noon to dusk, with workshops, drum circles, meditations and witchy workshops lasting all day. Witches' Mark will perform at 3 p.m., and all comers are instructed to bring drums (if they wish), food and drink (pagans aren't into catering), and some canned goods (for charity).
