Calling All Princesses

Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess with long, golden hair. Castle life wasn’t terrible, with jesters to keep her amused and Dukes-aplenty courting her. But who could blame Rapunzel for being unhappy? Deep conditioning treatments, battling split ends that drag 20 feet behind her, and the excruciating amount of time spent blow drying — it’s a wonder she did anything productive: she was a slave to her own mane.

One day, a hot prince rode up on a horse named Hyundai. He had once seen her struggle with the flat iron for hours on end — the memory haunted him. The princess was a smart chick; she knew that the best way to solve the problem was to get a haircut, so she went to the Redhead Salon. Not only did she get her flirty, new Coco Chanel bob for half price, she helped an untold number of children from the kingdom by donating her hair to Locks of Love. And while it’d be nice to say that she and the prince lived happily ever after, Rapunzel felt so free with her new hair that she became an international model/princess and dated her pick of dashing suitors for the rest of her life. The End.

This Sunday, the Readhead Salon (7750 Nova Dr., Davie) is having a Locks of Love Event. If you have ten inches or more removed in your session and donate it, your haircut will be half price. If you’ve already got a short cut but want to help the cause, go in for a trim; 15 percent of your sale will go towards the organization. Call 954-990-4340, or visit www.redheadsalon.net.
