Next Stop: Carnage

What a difference a year makes. Last time the New England Patriots were in town, they humiliated the Dolphins on their way to a perfect 16-0 regular season. They were the bullies on the block, complete with a juggernaut offense, a classless coach, and insufferable, clown shoe fans. But all that came to an end this past September when the Bill Parcells-led Dolphins visited New England and proceeded to deliver a cockpunch of epic proportions. It’s where America was introduced to the Wildcat formation, the Dolphins’ ultimate weapon. And with that, Ronnie Brown’s balls of steel took over to the tune of 113 rushing yards, four touchdowns, and one passing touchdown. Brown accounted for all five of ’em, leading the boys to an Ike Turner-esque 38-13 beat down of the Pats, and ending their 21-game winning streak while simultaneously humiliating them in front of their own home crowd. An angry mob proceeded to boo their three-time Super Bowl winning team in rage. You stay classy, New England. So today, needless to say, it is so on. For the first time in a long time, a Dolphins-Patriots game will mean something. Be there at Dolphin Stadium (2269 Dan Marino Blvd) to watch the carnage. At stake: first place in the division. Oh, and history tells us the Pats don’t do too well when they play in the Magic City. Tickets range from $41 to $700. Visit miamidolphins.com.
