It’s only noon on Monday, and you’re already itching for a lunch break. Last Friday’s paycheck fell victim to credit card bills, not to mention your nervous landlord, who’s in debt himself and raised your rent to cover his ass. It’s probably safe to say you can’t afford a five-course meal at the Breakers. Fortunately, there is a way to fill your belly without emptying your wallet. Just pop on over to Bill’s Filling Station (2209 Wilton Dr., Wilton Manors) before 6 p.m. and order the Recession Buster burger and beer combo deal.

For the cost of $6, you get fresh ground prime beef burgers, fresh cut French fries or homemade buttermilk onion rings, and a bottled domestic beer. If burgers aren’t your thing and you’ve got an extra dollar to spare, you can substitute any of Bill’s sandwiches to go with the combo deal (before 6 p.m., of course). Also on Mondays, drinks are two for one before 9 p.m. After that it’s $5 cocktails and $7 martinis. And for all you card sharks, Monday night euchre starts at 7 p.m. How’s that for an economic stimulus package? Think refreshin’ not recession. Call 954-567-5978 or visit billsfillingstation.com.
Mondays. Starts: Dec. 15. Continues through April 27, 2008
