Ever wonder what it would look like on the set of Three’s Company had the writers flipped the script and offered a little summin-summin to its large gay audience? Maybe Jack Tripper and Larry Dallas would have one too many drinks down at the Regal Beagle and confess that the reason they changed their lady dates quicker than they changed their tennis shorts was really because they were never that into them in the first place. Or maybe Mrs. Roper would ditch that flaccid husband of hers in favor of a hormonally charged femme like Janet Wood. A girl can dream. But in the meantime, there’s the film Lez Be Friends. Created by Glenn Gaylord (no, seriously), the ode to ΄70s sitcoms is set in 1969, on the day after the Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village. Character Ricca Pike is a lesbian who has to go under cover as a straight girl in order to live with her gay male roomies. As expected, hilarity ensues. The flick — actually composed of two pilot-style TV episodes — is a mere 70 minutes and gets underway at 8 p.m. at Cinema Paradiso (503 SE Sixth St., Fort Lauderdale). Tickets start at $5.
